I will never forget the day I sat on the floor of my bedroom crying my eyes out because my life was going in a completely opposite direction from where I thought it was going. When I finished high school, I made a failed attempt at going to Bible college, and then I moved home and started working at my church. If you’re like me, the biggest thing that prevents you from a good night’s rest is your mind!
Swirling thoughts, crazy ideas, silly what-ifs, and replays of the day’s events all bang around together up there like a ball in a pinball machine, making it really hard to relax and go to sleep. Sound familiar?

It was always difficult to cut through vegetables and fruits, getting even slices was out of the question, and prepping food always took way longer than it should! In the end, cooking with the un-sharpened knives was very frustrating, time consuming, and led to sub-par results.
Sometimes in life, we ourselves can be just like those dull knives!
When we refuse to sharpen ourselves, attempts at fulfilling God’s purpose in our life can be frustrating and seem a little hopeless. It can take longer than necessary and give us results that don’t turn out exactly as we’d hoped.Read More
Have you ever had a plan that didn’t quite pan out? Maybe you’ve had 2 or 3, or even 20 plans that never seemed to work.
Sometimes you think you have the perfect idea, you have the energy and initiative to get started, but then it eventually just runs out of steam or you hit a dead end.
This always seemed to happen to me when it came to following my dreams.Read More
